And here we have it. It has been 40 days since I posted last. Any previous hopes or dreams I may have had about growing into a blogger have been crushed by reality. I should have first looked at my track record of journal keeping (abysmal) and photographing big events (sketchy, at best) before committing to blog weekly. In my industry we often say, "If it isn't documented, it didn't happen." I'm not sure if that really applies to me and my ability to document my life... and I'm also not sure I'm willing to go down that rabbit hole right now... But that's definitely a thought to ponder later, when we don't have a mile-long to-do list.
My idea was that people reading this that don't live near us or see us often would get to know me and Tim a little better before our wedding. At this point, I'm just happy if I remember to post necessary updates: How to RSVP, Where you should stay, What you should plan for, etc... For those of you that I haven't spoken with lately, we'll just have to grab a cup of coffee and catch up, whether it is face-to-face or over the phone. Verdict is in: I'm a lousy blogger.
However bad I am at documenting, I must say that A LOT of very good, very fun things have been going on! We had a weekend afternoon where both of our families came together for a fabulous authentic British Tea. Mad props to my soon to be sister-in-law for packing and lugging china over from London!. We had a fun engagement photography session with Lauren and Tim and we like to think we've become better photography subjects. Friends are sharing their creativity and their love and helping to make our wedding day even more special, handmade and "us". We've bought our wedding bands. We're writing our ceremony. We're spray painting centerpieces. We're addressing invitations!
